The Power of $2,500

The Power of $2,500

I’m raising $2,500 because too many of our neighbors in Columbus are living without housing, stability, or the basic support they deserve.

Make-A-Day meets people experiencing homelessness and poverty where they are, in parking lots, parks, and neighborhoods. We create pop-up care villages that offer a meal to share, haircuts, legal help, housing support, or simply someone who shows up again and again. $2,500 makes one of these events possible and helps our outreach team continue walking alongside neighbors after the day is over.

In the past year, Make-A-Day served 11,812 neighbors, provided 1,400+ housing supports, and helped more than 60 people begin clearing records that had blocked them from jobs and homes. The numbers matter, but what stays with me are the people: the dad who wanted a meal with his kids, the woman who finally got an ID to apply for work, the neighbor who left with clean clothes and a little dignity back.

I joined the 100 Investors of Hope campaign because this is work worth fighting for. I’m asking my friends, family, and community to help me raise $2,500 so more of our neighbors can move forward with dignity and stability.
